Jump aboard for a journey to strange and spectacular lands…
Following the death of her beloved grandfather, Bess is left to take care of his odditorium – a rambling museum packed with odd objects and curious creatures. When the Train of Dark Wonders pulls into town, she hopes that she will be able to get hold of some new attractions to draw in the crowds.
Bess can't resist sneaking on board this fantastical steam train and soon learns that they too are always on the lookout for spectacular wonders. This time, they're off to the Land of Halloween Sweets in search of the famed, and extremely rare, ghostly gobstopper.
If Bess can help her new friends Beau the puppeteer, Louis the violinist and Maria the fire witch find it, she hopes that they in turn will be able to help her. But beneath its sugary exterior, the land is more dangerous than it looks. And to reach the gobstopper they will have to venture into the most perilous part of it – the haunted home of the Candymaker himself.
