Kelly has been a Primary School Educator & Literacy Specialist for 22 years. Her role has seen her teach all subject areas for students from Prep to Grade 6. She has lead many teams and held Leading teacher roles.

Kelly has a passion for teaching & sharing her knowledge with others, which has been reflected in the variety of roles she has held during her career so far. Watching her students learn & grow in all aspects of their life - from academic skills, to life & socials skills - is one of her greatest rewards.

During her varied career, Kelly has facilitated numerous workshops educating parents & teachers on the strategies, skills & values of literacy. She has also worked with Cardinia Shire Council in Victoria on various literacy projects. Kelly has also filmed literacy education videos for the Department of Education that have been distributed worldwide.

Currently educating through her business Wings for Grace, she is now a successful children’s author. Kelly has two picture story books and a Young Adult novel due for release in 2021, and is currently working on her second Young Adult novel.

When she is not writing or teaching, Kelly likes to spend quality time with her family, including her dogs Cooper & Hudson, and cats Lulu & Chloe - the stars of her picture story books! Kelly loves adventure & exploring from the bush to the beach. In awe of the world & its wonders, she is forever curious & in search of the magic nature provides.

Amanda Wilson is one of New Zealand’s top showjumping riders, having won and placed in many national titles including Pony of the Year and Horse of the Year. With her sisters Vicki and Kelly, Amanda starred in the hit-rating TV series, Keeping Up with the Kaimanawas, following their work taming New Zealand’s wild Kaimanawa horses, and also travelled to America and Australia to rescue and tame wild horses. Her life with horses features in her sister Kelly Wilson's bestselling books For the Love of Horses, Stallion Challenges, Mustang Ride and Saving the Snowy Brumbies, a children’s picture book Ranger the Kaimanawa Stallion and the junior chapter-book series Showtym Adventures. With Kelly, Amanda has co-written a middle-grade novel, Showtym Viking.
