3.5 simply topping stars

Quite a fun read that effortlessly connects a contemporary heroine, Lara, with her twenties flapper great-aunt, Sadie's ghost. I must admit that Lara's self-deluding and ignorant qualities made it hard to really fall into the story, as I often felt like shouting at her. I did love Sadie though, she was unashamed to be herself and really enjoy life - I mainly kept reading for Sadie. However, Lara started to see past the world she had closeted herself into - and with a little twenties charm - she started living her life.

Ed was wonderful. Full stop.

After a rocky start it was one of the best endings to a contemporary novel I have read in a very long time - now the question remains - which Kinsella to read next?
