Learning to watercolor is as easy as it is beautiful.

Watercolor With Me In the Ocean offers 50 stunning designs in a series of introductory lessons with marine themes to help the novice artist destress while becoming a competent and confident painter.

Dana Fox’s popular YouTube series, Paint with Me, has proven her instruction both accessible and appealing, and in this book, she provides light sketches so that new painters can focus solely on watercolor techniques. This no-sketch approach allows readers to create polished works of art in a few easy steps.

Through the chapters, Dana guides readers through the three major watercolor techniques: wet on dry, wet on wet and ink and wash. The ocean theme makes for a tranquil practice with marine life subjects like the octopus, jellyfish or sea turtles as well as more fanciful creatures like mermaids. This book is printed on high-quality art paper making it a perfect gift book or polished practice pad.

This book includes 50 projects.

I have been playing with watercolours for a while. This book great to practice in and warm up. I have drawn alot of the images onto watercolour paper to use amongst my children.Even my 8 year old daughter has achieved awesome results, she found extremely encouraging and to her own amazement is enjoying the magic of watercolour. Thank you Dana Fox. I will have to look out for your other book watercolour with me "In the forest"

One of the best books out for a watercolour beginner. Brilliant.
Even the sketching is done for you. Dana lists all the materials and paints that you need for each project, and explains in detail each step for completion of the project.
I have been an acrylic artist for years, but bought this for my daughter.
She loves the ease of learning watercolour because of this book.

I love this book. It's so much fun to do each watercolour project and you don't even realise you're picking up and/or honing your skills. The instructions are easy to follow and each drawing is just inviting you to paint. What a brilliant idea to have the projects in book form. One thing, though, is that my Cotman Watercolours don't always correspond to what's in the book (raw umber for example as mine is not reddish as in the book) but that's easily overcome. Highly recommended and seriously you do pick up a lot of tips. And yes, great fun!
