This book is not going to tell you what to think. You can think what you like, believe what you want, see the world how you chose to see it… Or can you? What are facts? What are reliable source? What is news? What is fake news? Information spreads from person to person, just like a virus. This book is about that viral spread of information, how it course its way across the internet, crackles through the airwaves, and lands in your hands through messages and news articles. We need to explore the ways information is shaped before it reaches your brain. There is so much more to being media literate than knowing how the news is reported. From biases and disinformation, clickbait and misleading headlines, so conspiracy theories and online hoaxes, there is so much to be on guard against. This book will give you the tools to be the freethinker you are meant to be.
