Ruth Quayle used to work as a journalist and copywriter, and was inspired to write books for children by the funny things her own kids said.

Ruth lives in London with her family and when she’s not writing, you’ll find her stepping on bits of lego, burning fish fingers and trying to convince the children that there really isn’t room for a dog.

Deborah Allwright has become a star of the picture book world following the publication of the bestselling The Night Pirates.

She has been shortlisted for the V&A Illustration Award, and illustrated the hugely successful Don 't Read this Book!

Deborah works in a studio in Islington, stopping only to attend designer clothes sales, and to do a spot of DJing at music festivals.
