Anne Bronte (1820-1849) was an English author who wrote the famous classics Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. She was raised with her two sisters Charlotte (author of Jane Eyre, Shirley, Villette, and The Professor) and Emily (author of Wuthering Heights), Bronte. She was mainly educated at home, studying art and music. Anne and her sisters had a passion for reading and writing, and their father had an extensive collection of English literature at home. Anne spent a short period in boarding school and later worked as a governess. She died at the early age of 29.
