“Prayerful” and “prayerless” Christians are widely used and common terms. While the former needs no explanation, regularly the latter is erroneously used as a converse. Theoretically, the point being made is clear. However, in reality and practice, a Christian naturally prays, in addition to beliefs, exercises and practice of many other principles prescribed in the bible. Christian living is not just a matter of duty and tradition. In fact, it is, but in addition to muchmore, importantly. It is a way of life, involving truth, communication and communion with God; the proper way to live for Him, etc. This is why some see the proposition of a Christian being prayerless as practical fallacy.
Yet, it is a theoretical construct born out of need for ease of expression, convenience and in rare cases, simply a wishful thinking, if it is okay for one to say that. Yet, it exists in practice, as such it is better described as a mirage of the real thing at best, because a prayerless Christian would be one not in active duty; or one that’s ceased from being in active duty.
