Sheriff Jack Conway had everyone fooled into thinking he wasn’t a marrying man. Little did they know he’d once been engaged. Six years ago, he’d been planning to marry Annie Webster until she called off the wedding in order to marry another man. Adding insult to injury, she’d told Jack he wasn’t good enough for her.

Annie knew that she’s taking a chance by answering Jack’s advertisement for wife. She’s not even sure if it’s the same Jack Conway, but she had to at least reply. One thing she knew for certain- she’d never stopped loving him. If only she can make him understand why she had to do what she did all those years ago.
