Michael, a student of Egyptology is invited on a dig in Egypt by his professor soon after his graduation. The idea is that such an opportunity is sure to jump start his career. While on the dig he finds a small statue of Apep, an Egyptian demon and the enemy of Ra. He is sure this find will skyrocket both his career as well as the career of the beautiful young woman he has enlisted to help him unravel the mysteries the statue holds. Unfortunately, as they begin to better understand what they have found, the demon begins to haunt their dreams, demanding their worship and the spread of her religion.
