Two elderly blokes. One missing mayor. And a mystery that really messes with their travel plans.

They’re meant to be organising a heritage trip to Ireland — not chasing after a vanished ex-mayor they never liked. James Northan was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and now claims he’s descended from Shakespeare. So when he disappears, the two old fellas from Windy Mountain are hardly heartbroken… at first.

But then local landmarks start vanishing. Demolition crews come for their beloved Tasmanian Tiger Museum. And the local newspaper prints an obituary claiming the pair perished in a fiery crash — which comes as news to them, since they’re still breathing.

Could the mayor have drowned himself in the town’s stinky sewerage ponds? Or has he been kidnapped by the shady character known only as Messerschmitt?

With help from a young American, a pair of walkie-talkies, and some cow-print camouflage trousers, the old blokes leap into action.
