After a near-fatal motorcycle accident, Brandt faced many questions. Questions about God's will, about faith, about life-long beliefs that, now, did not seem to add up, and especially about what it means to remain faithful to God.

In this book you will read about the physical struggle through narrative descriptions of the events surrounding Brandt's accident and recovery. With vivid story-telling and in-the-action chronicling, his story does to life. Also, each chapter includes lessons learned from the events of that chapter. These lessons are presented in down-to-earth language. Brandt avoids an academic approach, but still dives deep into spiritual situations we all face after suffering through traumatic events. It took a while after suffering a broken body, but Brandt found comfort in becoming Broken Before God.
