The ultimate essence of ministry in the body of Christ is for believers to be transformed into the image of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). Based on this eternal truth from the Scripture, how many people can we (as music ministers) truly say are being transformed into the image of Christ with ever-increasing glory, just by listening to song ministrations or attending concerts or worship services led by us? We might have only succeeded in entertaining the crowd if all they enjoy or remember are the melodious songs, sweet voices, skilful display of the musicians and probably dance steps; without evident life transformation.

Today, the church is in dire need of a holistic, biblical approach to raising music and worship ministers. There seems to be deficit of ministers who are able to combine giftedness, Christian character and the sense of call to serve God and His people faithfully. This book attempts providing a balance, suggesting some cardinal areas music ministers, church musicians, singers and churches may consider in building life-transforming music and worship ministry. It highlights seven (7) building blocks in music and worship ministry represented by letter ‘C’. These are: Conversion, Call, Commissioning, Consecration, Competence, Character and Commitment. Although the book is basically addressed to those actively involved in music ministry, salient points discussed are probably pertinent to everyone in Christian ministries―from Sunday school teachers to children workers, intercessors, Deacons, Pastors―all ministers of the gospel. It promises to be a blessing to you, your team, your church and the body of Christ in general.
