Jeffery Deaver is the award-winning author of 32 internationally bestselling novels, including the 2011 James Bond novel Carte Blanche, and three collections of short stories. Captivated is a prequel to the Colter Shaw series by American author, Jeffery Deaver. The audio is read by Kaleo Griffith. In Indiana, Colter Shaw meets with Ron Matthews, who has offered a reward to find his missing wife. A talented artist, Evelyn Fonteyn has been missing for just over a month, not having returned from an artists’ retreat, and Ron is sure she has been kidnapped. Colter gathers information and calculates the odds on Evie’s likely fate. He tracks her down and finds that he almost has it right, except for a deadly twist. An excellent little introduction to the series.
