Big projects have a way of multiplying logarithmically when they capture the vision of the people.
Some of these ideas might sound crazy right now but people usually laugh at new ideas. It could be because they don't want to try new things or feel threatened by a new idea that they think might make them worse off than they are now.
It could be ego too. People don't like people who are trying to improve things because it makes them look bad.
I believe it is not that hard to make any country very prosperous. All we have to do is create a government that constantly helps people with big projects like:
building modest housing for everyone
building a daycare center at the site of every public elementary school in the country
building big factories for big ticket consumer goods (fridges, stoves, washers, dryers, TVs, computers, etc.) that are currently not manufactured here then shutting out the importers of these products
building a national online university then giving everyone a year of free tuition
building new roads through unoccupied land to open it up
developing the frontier industries like genetic engineering and nanotechnology
legalizing recreational drugs to decrease the crime and collect the tax money
create an alternative energy infrastructure
Constant action on big projects creates jobs and a sense of spiritual motivation. All I see right now is politicians bickering about minor stuff. There is no room for big visionary ideas.
I'm anti-military because nobody is gonna attack Canada or the United States, these two big land masses all by themselves in the middle of nowhere. The other countries got their own problems.
If I was the President I would sell or melt down our military equipment and use that steel to build wind generators or ipads to create an alternative energy structure and provide education to everybody.
We would bring all our soldiers home to rebuild the infrastructure for the economy.
I would get rid of any national security and intelligence agencies my country has. It's pretty vain to think you have great secrets that others are desperately trying to discover. I can't imagine any great secrets in my native country of Canada that justifies spending billions of dollars a year trying to protect. I think it's all fake work. They're sitting in comfortable offices collecting big paychecks to do nothing. They have no accountability to anyone for it. They just have to say they're fighting terrorists.
If we got rid of our military and security agencies, there would be no terrorists against us because we would not be sticking our noses in other people's business but our power elite get their money and power by constantly expanding military and security so that's where it is right now.
