Are YOU ready to return to FOG ISLAND? The third thrilling book in the Fog Island Trilogy from the international bestseller Mariette Lindstein…

Sofia Bauman is living a normal life – or as close to one as she can manage. After escaping the cult surrounding the charismatic but cruel Franz Oswald fifteen years earlier, she’s found peace with her husband and their young daughter.

But when a hurricane sweeps through Sweden, it leaves a path of destruction in Sofia Bauman’s small community. The bridges are closed, trees felled, and her refuge for cult escapees is flattened.

Then Franz Oswald reaches out, offering her money she desperately needs to rebuild. But his obsession with Sofia hasn’t waned, and now he has his sights on Sofia’s teenage daughter Julia. As Julia falls under his spell, Sofia realises that the only way to keep her family safe is to confront Oswald once and for all.

Mariette Lindstein

Mariette Lindstein was raised on the west coast of Sweden. Drawn into the Church of Scientology at the age of 19, she spend 25 years at the cult's headquarters in Los Angeles, working directly for David Miscavige at the heart of the organisation. She escaped in 2004 with her husband in dramatic circumstances.

She became a teacher and was encouraged to write about the abuse she experienced in Scientology by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright. The idea of writing a suspense novel was born, and The Cult of Fog Island is the result.
