The book utilizes factual crime data to analyze disparities between urban and rural areas. It examines key issues such as crime rate fluctuations and the effectiveness of crime prevention strategies. Readers may be surprised to learn about the significant impact of socioeconomic shifts and technological advancements, which play a crucial role in shaping both the nature and location of criminal acts. The book's approach involves a detailed statistical analysis, presented in a clear and accessible manner, to uncover underlying societal factors that influence crime.

Beginning with foundational concepts in criminology, the narrative progresses by first examining urban crime.
