Wow! This was filled with lots of action and Dimitri was the perfect hero to take care of it.

Zamira was not the usual type of heroine this author usually writes and I really enjoyed getting to know her. She had the perfect combination of strength and vulnerability. As a mother of two teenagers, I was expecting a lot of scenes with the kids but that was not the case. However, when they were on the page, they totally stole the story as they were so cute and a bit wacky and absolutely adorable.

Dimitri was the type of hero that keeps me coming back to this author’s work. He knew what he wanted, didn’t want to push too hard but once he had his foot in the door he was all protective, quick a bit possessive and yet still wanted to make sure she was taken care of even if it cost him to give it to her. Let’s just say that last part made me want to smack him for a moment.

This had a full cast of characters, some from previous books, as well as villains and I was consumed with them all from the beginning. As Dimitri and Zamira were falling in love there was danger that was linked to her past which added an element of danger and from there it seemed to just escalate. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. With plenty of steam and an epilogue that was just too freaking perfect, this was everything I love!
