Adapted from Plato’s Phaedo (70b6), the word functions here as a hortatory subjunctive: 'Let us converse, tell stories, mythologize.' The book is a narrative account of the thinking life of a philosopher, in his mind, in the classroom, in scholarship, and in and through the creative writing of philosophy.
