Matthew Sweet

Matthew Sweet is a writer and broadcaster with a doctorate in Wilkie Collins. He presents Night Waves and Free Thinking on BBC Radio 3 and The Philosopher's Arms and The Film Programme on BBC Radio 4.

He is the author of Inventing the Victorians and Shepperton Babylon: The Lost Worlds of British Cinema - which he adapted as a film for BBC Four.

He has also edited and introduced the work of Wilkie Collins, Arthur Conan Doyle, William Thackeray, George Eliot and Edward Bulwer-Lytton.

Simon Guerrier

Simon Guerrier is co-author of Whographica and The Scientific Secrets of Doctor Who for BBC Books, and has written countless Doctor Who books, comics, audio plays and documentaries.

In 2016, Simon was a guest on Front Row and The Infinite Monkey Cage on Radio 4, and with his brother Thomas, makes films and documentaries – most recently John Ruskin's Eurythmic Girls.

Jacqueline Rayner

Jacqueline Rayner is the author of over 40 books and audio plays, including number one bestseller The Stone Rose, the highest-selling Doctor Who novel of all time, and two Doctor Who ‘Quick Reads’ for World Book Day.

She lives in Essex with her husband and twin sons and writes a regular column for Doctor Who Magazine about family life.

Mike Tucker

Mike Tucker is an author specialising in books for children and young adults, and has written several original ‘Doctor Who’ novels, a number of Merlin novelisations, and original fiction for other shared universes. He has also written numerous factual books relating to film and television, including a history of the BBC’s Visual Effects Department, where he used to work.

Alongside his writing, Mike works as a Visual Effects Designer, and his company - The Model Unit - recently won a BAFTA Craft Award for its miniature effects work on the 50th anniversary Doctor Who episode The Day of the Doctor.

Joy Wilkinson

Joy Wilkinson is an award-winning writer working across film, television, theatre and radio. As well as Doctor Who her TV credits include Nick Nickleby and The Watch. Her directing debut - the film Ma'am - is released in 2020.
