Gillian Shields writes both picture books and full-length children's fiction, using her experience as a drama teacher for inspiration.

She lives a busy life, both writing and teaching, and lives in Sussex with her husband, two children and a little brown dog.

She has written a number of picture books for Macmillan, including Sam's Snowflake and Henry's Holiday.

Cally Johnson-Isaacs has loved to draw ever since she first picked up a crayon. After graduating in Illustration from Newcastle Art College, Cally spent a few years illustrating greetings cards before becoming a freelance illustrator.

She now works from her home studio where she has a lovely view of the Northumberland countryside and is kept company by Jasper the dog. Cally is the illustrator of Rabbits Don't Lay Eggs! and the Mimi's Magical Fairy Friends series for Macmillan Children's Books.
