For many first time e-book authors, creating an e-book cover can be hell! After spending time writing a good story, then comes the time when the author must give the book a selling face. The cover actually can tell something about the book, though the old adage still stands that “don’t judge the book by its cover,” which again is an amorphous two edged sword! A book may have a wonderful cover and ends up presenting the reader with some gibberish stuff or a book may have good stuff but displays a terrible cover. For self publishing, doing it from home is now the ‘in-thing.’ Gather your material, ‘pen’ (actually key) them down and post to the market without haggling with the publishers! Whatever the case, try to at least balance in the middle if you must do your own cover. With the few and available operating systems of current computers, you can attain a credit in creating your own cover. That is to say you can sit down to write a book and by the time you finish, you have your manuscript plus the cover posted into the market.
