This hymnal is a collection of 115 classic hymns and 20 christmas carols arranged for the 6 hole Native American Style Flute (NAF). The skill level needed to play the hymns ranges from a level using the basic NAF scale to the full extended scale. The arrangements are notated in NAF TAB also called Nakai/DeMars Tablature. No finger diagrams. If you are not familiar with NAF TAB there are excellent resources available to learn this notation method on the web. Two of these are Jonny Lipford and Scott August. High Spirit flutes on the web also as a number of resources.

This effort is a result of playing Native American Style Flute to share hymns in an in-patient hospice setting. I needed a resource to pull from to for my play list each week and only found a very limited amount of sheet music for Native American Style Flutes. Over the time that I have been playing for the hospice I transcribed and arranged a number of hymns and the stack of sheet music begain to look like a book when piled up on my desk. Here is that pile plus more as a NASF Hymnal. I hope that this hymnal will provide a resource to all who play NAF or like listening to one and also speaks to those moments when in need of solace, hope, comfort, peace and assurance.
