Follow the character of Iggy Rock (Igneous Rock),

on his exciting and arduous journey from the deep, dark and fiery centre of the earth, to the seashore.

Iggy starts out as a jagged rock, happily swimming in magma, to being thrust out through the roof of the earth in a volcanic explosion, to becoming part of a magnificent granite mountain.

Then falling into a glacier, which melts to become a fast-flowing river, and all the while, natural erosion is transforming Iggy into a smooth pebble.

This is an entertaining children’s story, explaining the formation of the earth and the natural rock cycle.

These events span millions of years, but are told in the blink of any eye.

A twist in the tale means that Iggy finds a different ending place from the usual expected life of a rock.
