‘Jesus Himself’ is a profound Christian devotional book written by South African pastor and author Andrew Murray, first published in 1912. Murray was a prominent spiritual leader known for his deep theological insights and accessible, heart-stirring writing. His style is marked by simplicity, clarity, and a deep sense of reverence, often guiding readers into a more intimate relationship with God.In ‘Jesus Himself’, Murray emphasizes that true Christian life and power come not just from doctrine, rituals, or even the Church, but from a personal and living relationship with Jesus Christ Himself. Drawing from the verse John 20:19-20, Murray reflects on the moment when Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection and showed them His presence—underscoring the idea that the risen Christ is not just a historical figure but a living, present Savior who wants to dwell in the hearts of believers. The book is both devotional and practical, inviting readers to move beyond religious forms and into a deeper spiritual experience. It is a call to abide in Christ daily and to let His presence transform life from the inside out. Murray’s gentle, passionate writing continues to inspire Christians seeking a closer walk with Jesus.
