Missions to Mars and beyond are lengthy and expensive, and dangerous. The Red planet has fascinated mankind for thousands of years. Many thousands of years of position data have been recorded. We have robotic spacecraft in Martian orbit, and landers and rovers on the surface. The next step is to go there, with boots on the ground. Decades of time, and hundreds of millions of dollars are required. Columbus would have approved. We just need to get off our...planet, and get going.
