We have bought into the promotion and the packaging of love. We have come to believe that marriage is a milestone awaiting us. The disappointment when something steps into our path of bliss can be scarring. Cartoons, bedtime stories, TV shows, movies, school, family, and music have instilled in us the stories of marital success.
