This super short piece briefly describes my experience of transitioning and acclimating to the Big Apple that is New York. It takes a lot to adjust to a big city when you come from a small Midwestern town (I'm from Michigan). The process can be a sluggish and slow one, despite the fact that you launch at full speed and hit the ground running. With so many challenges to face and obstacles to overcome, my adjustment to the big city was definitely not an easy feat.
