Seven years have passed since the massacre at the village took place, and although the Tosu family has once again found peace and joy in their lives, Shino and Kubo are still on the run. So when Tetsuo finds himself being framed for murder alongside whispers of Kubo's return, he begins to suspect his past has come back to haunt him. As Tetsuo braces for a rematch with Kubo, Reika, now a police investigator, defies orders by hunting for answers after an attack on her family hits too close to home.
