Darla Hanger has authored several books and has a one acre plot in a rural town in Arizona. The love of specialty chickens, goats, sheep and exotic birds rules the family "ranch." Throw in a few rabbits and tilapia and there are times the grandkids think of the ranch as a zoo. The peacocks are a constant source of conversation and the sound of the birds can remind one of a different world - a wilder world with unbridled enthusiasm for life.
