In Yoruba Nollywood, particularly the ones shot in village settings, there are normally scenes in the films that have local announcers. The local proclaimer towards the Egungun festival would go round the village square to declare the appearance of Oloolu. He would carefully guide the villagers not to emerge for three days, since there is an Oro (traditional rites) to invite Oloolu, and that any individual who emerges inside the Oro hours would be used for sacrifice.
This book entails the story behind the great Masquerade OLOOLU and every belief behind it. It also entails reasons why a woman must not see the OLOOLU.
