Someone once asked me, "What is poetry?" and to be honest each person will have a different response. Poetry to me becomes an outlet, even from an early age. Poetry helped me to get through my depression, heartbreak, and how I dealt with love. Poetry has become the way in which I express myself and I have found that I have been writing from an early age. When I was cleaning my garage, I found poetry that I have written when I was 11 years old. Within those aged pages, I saw the hurt and depression that I suffered through over my mother's illness and my new life without her. After reading the pages, I have realized just how much I have grown. Within these pages, I have shared my growth with you.
