Considering the biographical nature of this collection of stories, it is diffi cult to think of what to include on this page that has not been included. Briefl y, Ken received his BA in English from Wayne State University and his MA from Michigan State University. After teaching English for thirty-three years, thirteen of which included supervising the school yearbook staff at Pontiac Central High School, he retired to his summer home on a lake in the upper peninsula of Michigan. He spends the warmest half of the year at Pike Lake in Luce County with his wife of more than fi fty years. When temperatures begin to fall, Ken and Joanne head south to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. However, it never fails, that when the calendar page turns to November, his thoughts focus on the fi fteenth of that month and whos out in a blind waiting for the sun to shed its light on opening day of fi rearms deer season.
