Emma Hall has everything: love, happiness, a future.

When you go to a graveyard to be alone, you don’t expect to find people. Emma’s classmate Eric appears to be haunting the graveyard as well. It’s awkward; she wants privacy, and she doesn’t want to intrude on his reasons for being there.

His reasons are not the same as hers. He’s looking for someone dangerous, and he’s been waiting for that person to appear. He’s certain it can’t be Emma. But he’s not alone. His companion doesn’t agree, and his companion has been waiting for Emma Hall for a very, very long time.
