What does a mob capo want with a girl from the sticks?

Everything . . . but this isn't my story . . . it's Karlie's.

My name is Karlie Masterson, and my life's plan was not to end up in a brothel in Chester, WV . . . yet I did. Long story. At any rate I made the cardinal mistake of falling in love with one of my steady ... um ... er ... clients... Nick. And he was pretty hot . . . and pretty complicated. He wanted to take me away from all of this debauchery, which I have to admit was a very noble gesture, if not totally unheard of in these neck of the mountains. So, because I'd learned about survival at an early age, I implemented caution before accepting his gallant offer.

So, it kind of went like this:

"Is your real name even Nick?" I asked directly.

**"Sort of,"**he replied, a slight smile gracing his sensual mouth.

"I don't know anything about you except what you just now told me. I don't know your last name or if I'm even permitted to know your last name. You've been coming to Belle's for months now and you don't share a thing with me . . . well, except for the obvious," I replied feeling a blush warming my cheeks. I actually think I saw him smile genuinely for the first time ever. I don't know what he found so amusing; it was all fairly confusing to me.

"My last name is Castellano. I'm Dominic Castellano. But you can continue to call me 'Nick**."**
