This is the final book in the Deadly Rainbows Trilogy (which also includes Deadly Rainbows and Deep Darkness). Sean lives with his dad and a group of scientists aboard the spaceship Aurora. They have entered a region of space where the laws of physics have changed.

In Splendid Light, Sean encounters a planet unlike any he has ever faced before, and a group of aliens unlike any he has seen. To make matters worse, the Aurora is damaged beyond repair. It is left drifting in the vast wilderness between stars.

In this conclusion of the Deadly Rainbows trilogy, Sean suffers a brutal betrayal. And when he is faced with a life-threatening situation, he must choose between saving a friend, and saving an enemy.
