In the blistering heart of the desert, where mirages promise water but deliver only dust, Blake Durant rides for his life. After a forced, lethal encounter with a young gunslinger in Shepherd's Hill, the legendary "Loner" arrives in Raven Creek, bone-weary and haunted by the past. But peace is a fleeting dream on the frontier.

The trouble he tried to outrun has found him in the form of Ty Harbutt, a vengeful brother backed by a crew of ruthless gun hands. Caught in a web of local corruption involving the cowardly Tom Seibel and the tyrannical Ambrose Warlow, Durant must navigate a town on the brink of explosion.

In "Sundown Comes Suddenly", the eleventh instalment of the gripping series by Des Dunn using the pseudonym Sheldon B. Cole, Durant discovers that even in a land of "outcasts," courage has a price. Experience a classic tale of frontier justice where every shadow hides a threat and redemption is earned one bullet at a time.
