About the Author

Lisa has always loved to read. As a 'Library Student Helper' at her elementary school, she once vowed to read every book in that small library. She fell short of that goal by a few hundred books. Then, as a 'Library Assistant' in high school, she learned just about everything there is to know about books. She and her husband (who also loves books) have an extensive personal library in their home. Their all-time favorite stories nudge up against more practical books about teaching and gardening.

Lisa stated, "To me, a good book makes me both laugh and cry. When I finish reading the book, I want to hold it close to my heart and cherish the memory. Then I tell myself and others, I’m going to read that book again!”
