In Georgia's Lawrenceville, Kirshnik Khari Ball was born. Along with Quavo and Offset, he was brought up in Lawrenceville by his mother.

Along with family members Quavo and Offset, Takeoff began rapping around 2008. Polo Club was the group's first stage name, but they eventually changed it to Migos. The group released Juug Season, a mixtape, on August 25, 2011, and it served as their first full-length album. The mixtape "No Label" was then made available on June 1, 2012.
