"Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar" is the fifth book of the enormously popular twenty-four volume Tarzan series of novels by adventure fiction writer Edgar Rice Burroughs.
For this installment, we catch up to Tarzan and Jane, now living full-time on Tarzan's Waziri ranch in Africa, not far from where Tarzan was raised by his ape family (and where he little dreams his lost son and unknown daughter-in-law are hiding in the jungle!). When his Greystoke fortune is embezzled, Tarzan travels to the lost city of Opar to replenish his fortune with some of the vast stores of Opar gold but...Tarzan is instead injured in a sudden earthquake, which causes him to forget his past and fall into the hands of the scheming Princss La, who plans to lure Tarzan into her bed.
Tarzan is among the most popular fictional characters in all of literature and his tales have been adapted into dozens of animated and live-action films as well as television and radio series and comic books.
"Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar" is presented here in its original and unabridged format.
