After being wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of his wife, disgraced cop Al Palmer is released ten years later into a world that has left him behind, and a daughter who is estranged, burdened by the years she believed he was guilty. As Al and his daughter team up to uncover who framed him and killed her mother, they expose a far-reaching conspiracy involving white supremacist militias, political elites, and a monstrous criminal mastermind known only as The Boar. Told through a razor-sharp lens of Southern Gothic satire and pulp-noir paranoia, The Boar is a genre-bending, blood-soaked fever dream about family, justice, and identity, where loyalty is lethal, history is a lie, and the only way out is through hell.

Daniel Reed

Daniel Reed has been a presence in the Melbourne underground comic scene for many years, where his mind-bending series The Crumpleton Experiments had an enthusiastic and loyal following. His more recent book, the epic fable 'Grubby Little Smudges of Filth', received great reviews and an international release. Both titles have been recognised with Ledger Awards.

In 'Evermore', Daniel's illustration style creates a rich and emotive setting for Isobelle's story. Ink washes and pencilled tones describe the ruined world, while the pen and brushwork brings detail and focus to the characters. The result being artwork that is more at home in a classic picture book than a traditional comic.
