The eccentric Roland Hellmantle and his cousin search for a map that if found might lead to an upheaval in the way we look at the story of Jesus. Motorcycling offroad through the Sierre Madre mountains in the Philippines and obstacles that would have deterred other men, Hellmantle attacks his fate with zeal and finds the map, which points them to a colonial prison in north Vietnam. A new clue leads them to Kashmir Valley where they discover a truth that some never want to emerge.
