Israeli singer Eddie Butler was born on October 2, 1971. (Hebrew:). His parents were Dimona-raised Black Hebrew Israelites from Chicago. Butler began his career as a performer at the age of eight. He performed with wedding bands in the 1990s, and in 1992, he supported Zehava Ben.


With Eddie, Gabriel Butler, Rafael Dahan, Doron Oren, and elder Eddie Dahan, Butler participated in the 1999 Jerusalem Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the Eden group. With 93 points, their song "Happy Birthday" came in fifth place.


After Eden's dissolution in 2001, Butler began a solo career. He has given performances throughout Russia, Europe, and North America. He won the Special Audience Award at the International New Wave Music Festival in Jrmala, Latvia, in 2002. With the song "Together We Are One," he competed as a soloist for his own nation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 in Athens, although he came in second-to-last.


During the Dudu Topaz program on Channel 2, Eddie asked his wife Orly Burg to marry him. He wrote the brand-new song At HaHalom (You Are the Dream), which he played for her, while on one of his protracted concert tours. For the sake of being married to Orly in an Orthodox ceremony, he has formally converted to Judaism.
