THE STRONGEST WEB introduces the reader to the terror that an organized criminal gang can bestow upon any city. Cork City is besieged by such a gang. Their leader has a propensity for violence, not seen since the Black and Tans, or even Cromwell himself. Child soldiers are used, not only to peddle drugs, but to carry out assassinations of rival gang members. Detective Inspector John Cahill and his Serious Crime Squad are frustrated by the random killings but know that they are the only ones to save the city from spiraling out of control.
