This play is a partial cut partial adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and a class putting on a production thereof. The show will last between 60 and 75 minutes, and, while great for an in-class production, it is designed to be produced on the mainstage. It follows students in the classroom as they go through tryouts, rehearsals, and eventually ends with a full-stage production of Shakespeare's work. The show cuts between on stage and backstage scenes, bringing attention to all of the work that goes into a show, while offering comedic relief from the seriousness of the Shakespeare. As a bonus, if you remove the scenes set in the classroom you'll be left with a 45-minute, school appropriate cut of A Midsummer’s Night Dream.
