Howard Pyle (Mar 5, 1853 – Nov 9, 1911) was an American illustrator and author. In 1894 he began teaching illustration at the Drexel Institute. On the verge of twentieth century, he has founded his own school of art. His classic publication of The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood remains in print up to date due to its popularity. He published his first novel, Otto of the Silver Hand, in 1888. He also illustrated historical and adventure stories for papers and magazines.
Twilight Land is a collection of haunting tales and ghost stories by Howard Pyle. All the sixteen stories here are entwined into single canvas, which shows are colorful panorama of a world filled kings and queens, knights and princesses, heroes and demons. Pyle juicy language is a magic no less than the sorcery and witchcraft he writes about. Nothing is insignificant in this picture of old as hills battle between good and evil!
