This research investigates the process of digital transformation of the analog information contained in a vinyl disc, theorizing, applying and analyzing a specific acquisition criterion.

The criterion proposed here is to be understood to be strictly tied to the home environment, responding to the need to transfer those selections of one’s vinyl disc collection which are still not published on CD, or to the professional environment in cases where there is neither a master or a tape, and a vinyl disc is the only version available.
