After a year of marriage, medium Annabelle and doctor Gavin are settling into their new life in San Antonio. They have a medical practice, ghosts to lay to rest, and they’re starting to suspect a new baby Morris will be arriving in the fall.

Their peaceful domestic life is shattered when Gavin’s estranged father sends him a message: his rich, horrible grandmother is at death’s door.

Unwilling to forego a hefty inheritance, Gavin and Annabelle make their way to Baltimore, where Gavin’s troubled family—both living and dead—turns a simple funeral into an emotional confrontation... hours before a malevolent entity threatens all their lives.

The second book in Simone Beaudelaire's series of western romance novels, WINDTORN contains explicit sexual content, strong religious themes, and references to abuse among other triggers including infant death and assault. Reader discretion is advised.
