Jessie ran. In 1928, what was a woman to do? In the wild landscape of Wollemi, barely outside Sydney, Jessie found refuge. Wollemi hid her well, as it had hidden other survivors over millenia.

Jessie hooks up with cattle duffer Andy, and dreams of a better life. When the world's attention turns to Wollemi in the 1990s, the bioprospector returns to the landscape she loves. But she is not looking for sanctuary, as the others have done, she is looking for botanical treasure.

Wild Wollemi hid and nurtured the Wollemi pine and Jessie and galleries of Aboriginal art very well over the years. In the early 21st century the bioprospector asks: what else is hiding in there? Wollemi - where Jessie rode and Andy thieved, where Bruce sketched and his son found a map, where Jamie swam and Bron searched, where Tim climbed and Judy fell, and Sally came home.
