The Kobo Clara HD looks like a great product which I was excited to use, but sadly mine was broken out of the box. Angus and Robertson offered to replace it for me, but it still hasn't arrived nor have i received further communication. I hope I'll able to try it out eventually though, because it felt comfortable to hold and the prospect of it seems promising.

I was skeptical about e-readers, thinking they couldn't replace the feel of reading a physical book. I was wrong. And although I thought it was too small when I opened the package, I have found The Kobo Clara HD to be the perfect size, especially for reading in bed. The auto adjusting back light is a great feature.

I am also borrowing books through Overdrive and love this use of technology, especially during this pandemic. I did have to join another library, however, as my regional library does not support Overdrive. I then had to visit a branch to pick up a card before I could use this feature.

I'm very happy with my Kobo Clara HD eReader. I never wanted an eReader as I like books but with libraries closed during all these lockdowns I haven't been able to access real books very easily. The Kobo Clara has been my saviour. I can log onto my library, choose an Overdrive ebook and download it in seconds ready to read. I can also download books from another library that uses Borrowbox, onto my laptop, and transfer to my Kobo. There's a bit of conversion software the library provides. Not too hard. I could buy books from Kobo through my eReader as well if I wanted. The Kobo Clara is easy to use and is a good size to hold. It doesn't have lots of silly features - just things that are useful like being able to change the back lighting and some stats on how long you've been reading, how much time to go etc. I bought a proper Kobo cover as well (a little pricey I thought) but it fits perfectly and I can flip it closed and when I open it again it's where I left off ready to go. I'm quite happy with my purchase and it arrived in good time from A & R.

Fantastic ereader, super quick shipping and a great service all round. Only complaint is that the tiny ereader box was shipped in a box that could have held literally 50 in it, and was packed in with metres of plastic bubble wrap. A bit unnecessary guys!

I am absolutely thrilled with my Kobo Clara bought to replace my old Kobo, I had for many years. My new Kobo Clara is so much smaller & light. It even has a reading light! I have a whole library of books at my fingertips to enjoy, reasonably priced & some are free! I was so pleased I bought 3 more as gifts. I give this product 5/5.

Such a great device. Connects easily to Wi-Fi with a world of books available through kobo store and Angus and Robertson. Love that you can also connect to your local public library ebooks. Lightweight design makes it super easy to take with you everywhere.

My Kobo Clara e reader is great. Operates slightly differently to the one I had previously that just died a sad death. This new one even fits in the cover I had for my old one, so a great buy all round. I do still read paper books, but e readers are a great light-weight solution for travel.

Thank you Kobo and Angus and Robertson as I can now read heaps of books without my arms tiring from holding a heavy book. The Kobo is very convenient to take in my handbag. Very useful when waiting for doctor's appointments etc.

Purchased this item as an alternative to the Kindle and is as good if not better. Syncing is no problem either with the PC or Kobo site.
If your looking for a nice compact easy to carry eReader then look no further
